Mali Brae Farm Wedding | Krista and Michael | Southern Highlands Wedding Photographer

Mali Brae Farm is a beaut of a rustic wedding venue in the Southern Highlands. The name alone conjures up romantic images of dreamy vistas, green paddocks, lakes and trees. This setting provided the perfect country environment for Krista and Michael to celebrate their love story. What a day!

Krista and Michael didn't want the fuss of a big wedding production with orchestrated bridal preparation shots. It just wasn't what they're about. They opted for a "first look" prior to the ceremony. As a Southern Highlands wedding photographer, I love when couples do this. It gives you those raw, unscripted moments of anticipation, love, joy and laughter. These two are beautiful people inside and out. They're just perfect for each other.

Fairy tales do exist, and it was evident in the lakeside ceremony setting, right in front of a beautiful weeping willow tree. Surrounded by intimate shoot locations, we managed to sneak in some shots of the couple and their fun bridal party after the formalities. The pine trees looked so much like Tuscany, I had to remind myself I was in the Southern Highlands!

The reception was the icing on the wedding cake. So much fun, laughter, tears and love. Michael's heartfelt speech had most in tears, including me. What a joy to photograph. How can I forget the dance floor antics! Everyone danced up a storm and cut some serious shapes. Thanks again Krista and Michael for entrusting me to shoot your special wedding day.
