Fight for the Bight Demonstration Bondi Beach (Event Photography Sydney).

One a Sunday back in late April 2019, a gathering of surfers at Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach protested Norwegian mining company Equinor and it's proposal to drill for oil at The Great Australia Bight. The good folk at Sydney PR agency BellPR approached me to capture this passionate and colorful protest. As a Sydney event photographer this was the perfect occasion to capture dynamic story-telling event imagery.

The event drew some big names including Prof Kerryn Phelps AM and Layne Beachley AO . It was great to see their passion in protecting our natural environment, and also helping to keep big oil out of the Great Australian Bight. They are absolute pros in front of the camera too.
